We were so excited to find this cute century home in the beach.  It had not been renovated for decades and we seized the opportunity for a full rebuild and added an addition onto the back giving us another 13 feet or property length.

As the property is a bit narrower than we are used to, we spent a large amount of time configuring the staircase and how it would be positioned in-between the family’s living spaces.  In the end, we had a main floor with high ceilings and a separated living room area.  The staircase also formed a private principal bedroom on the second floor – away from the other bedrooms in the 2nd storey.

It was exciting to put in our signature reclaimed brick wall, and spindle stair guard on this project as it had a greater impact in the smaller space.
